Turkey has changed the rules of entry for Ukrainian tourists

From June 1, the Turkish authorities returned the mandatory PCR tests for passengers from Ukraine. The new rules will begin to apply as early as June 2.

This is reported by the portal AviaNews with reference to NOTAM message # A2932 / 21, which was published on the night of 31 May. According to insiders, no more than 72 hours should pass from the moment of the analysis to the moment of crossing the Turkish border. As an alternative, the country’s authorities allow a rapid test for the coronavirus antigen. From the moment of its delivery, no more than 48 hours should pass.

Those passengers who have completed the full course of vaccination against COVID-19 and have an official document about it may not be tested for coronavirus. At least 14 days must have elapsed since the last dose of the vaccine was received.

  • vaccination certificate (document confirming the completion of the COVID-19 vaccination program);

  • a certificate that confirms a negative test result for COVID-19 by PCR. The test must be done 72 hours before the border crossing, or show a negative rapid antigen test carried out 48 hours before entering the country;

  • a document stating that the tourist had been ill with COVID-19 at least 14 days and no more than 6 months before the date of entry into the country.

Children under five years old are allowed to enter the territory of Bulgaria without providing these documents.
