The Tui Local Police have arrested for an alleged crime of disobedience to a 45-year-old male, who was intercepted while driving a vehicle without insurance or ITV, under the influence of alcohol and without a licenseand that was made available to the Civil Guard.
The events occurred on the afternoon of last Friday, when the local police received several calls from witnesses reporting the presence of a man who was driving a Mercedes van at high speed, in a parking area of the municipality. Driver was crashing into other parked vehicles and appeared to be intoxicated.
A patrol went to the place and proceeded to intercept the driver. When checking his data, the agents found that did not have a driving licensehaving lost his card due to the withdrawal of all points.
Besides, the van did not have insurance nor had it passed the ITV on time. To this is added that the man yielded results positive in breathalyzer test to which he was subjected. For all this, complaint proceedings were processed.
Hours later, the police received calls again about this same driver, who was trying to take the van, who had been immobilized after the previous episode. The man was allegedly threatening other parking users and had been involved in a fight.
Therefore, around 10:15 p.m., the Local Police proceeded to his arrest and subsequent transfer to Civil Guard facilities. The driver spent Saturday at the judicial disposal.
