Tuchel confirms that Ruediger-Kepa is fighting, the situation is serious

Manager Chelsea Thomas Tuchel allow if Kepa Arrizabalaga and Antonio Ruediger bickering in a training session. Tuchel even called the situation serious.

Kepa and Ruediger fought in a training session at Cobham, Chelsea’s training center, on Sunday (4/4/2021). According to news circulating, the dispute between the two players was triggered by Ruediger’s tackle to Kepa in a mini-game.

The two then argued until they pushed each other. Thomas Tuchel stepped in to quell the dispute by prohibiting Ruediger from continuing training sessions. Meanwhile, Kepa, who was considered calmer, was allowed to continue practicing.

Thomas Tuchel admitted that the two players had argued during training. Tuchel also didn’t deny that he had to step in because the situation was serious.

“Don’t get me wrong, it’s serious,” said Tuchel in a press conference ahead of the match against Porto in the Champions League, Tuesday (6/4/2021).

“Sometimes you encounter little, little, situations where you might turn away and let them sort it out on their own.”
