TSV Freystadt is returning to the Bundesliga stage and is looking for other ambitious players from the region to supplement its squad.

After two years in the regional league, the Upper Palatinate have achieved their goal for the season with a championship and promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. Two years ago, TSV voluntarily withdrew from the 1st Bundesliga and is now trying to make a comeback. TSV team leader Stephan Pistorius: “It wasn’t easy, we also had numerous Corona failures, but we were always able to put together a good team, 31:1 points speak for themselves.” Pistorius thanks all the Bavarian fans who have remained loyal to the club , all helpers and officials, especially Dieter Gläser for his live broadcasts of all home games.

The goal for the new season is a good midfield position and in Freystadt everyone is looking forward to the Bavarian derbies against Marktheidenfeld, Geretsried and Neuhausen. As far as the squad is concerned, TSV Freystadt can count on all the players in its champion team in the coming season. For the women, TSV is strengthening with Ella Neve, youth national player and reigning south-east German champion. In the men’s area, Freystadt is currently looking for one or two motivated players from the region as a regular player or back-up. Pistorius is thinking of an experienced former BL player or an ambitious youth player who would like to develop at Bundesliga level.
