KOMPAS.com – Xiaomi add series Xiaomi 12 series in Indonesia by launching Xiaomi 12 Lite. This smartphone is officially present in the country on July 19, 2022.
The naming “Lite” on this smartphone shows that the Xiaomi 12 Lite carries lighter specifications than the other Xiaomi 12. Because, some of the specifications are lowered compared to the “regular” Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro.
In Indonesia, the Xiaomi 12 Lite comes with 8/256 GB RAM. While the body is wrapped in three color options, namely Lite Pink, Lite Green and Black.

Looks thick but light
Unlike its two “brothers”, the Xiaomi 12 Lite features a flat or square edge design instead of rounded edges. This makes the Xiaomi 12 Lite body look quite thick at first glance when viewed from the side. However, the Xiaomi 12 Lite body is actually thinner than the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro.
The dimensions of the Xiaomi 12 Lite itself are 159.3 mm long, 73.7 mm wide, and 7.29 mm thick. Besides being thinner, this smartphone is also light at 173 grams, so it doesn’t feel so heavy when operated for a long time.
On the back area, the Xiaomi 12 Lite is equipped with a cross section with a matte finish, so it’s not easy to catch finger marks. In addition, the cross section appears to display a shimmer effect, especially when exposed to light. The cross-sectional texture is somewhat rough, so it is quite safe to use without a jelly case.
However, the Xiaomi 12 Lite is also equipped with a jelly case in the purchase package, if the user feels the need to use it.
The camera module itself stands out with the same camera placement as the other Xiaomi 12 series. The surface is also not the same as the cross section of the Xiaomi 12 Lite, even when the phone is wrapped in a soft case.
