Trump, video from the hospital: “I’m better but the real test will be in the next few days”

Donald Trump appeared in a new video posted on Twitter in which he anticipated his intention to return to work as soon as possible to “resume the election campaign from where it left off”, but also warned that “the next few days will be the true test “.

“The therapies I am taking and others that will arrive are miraculous,” said the president speaking from Walter Reed Hospital where he has been hospitalized since yesterday with Covid. “I’m starting to feel good, I think the real test will be in the next few days, I’ll see what happens in the next two days”.

In a white shirt, no tie and blue jacket, sitting at a table with the American flag and the presidential banner behind him, Trump wanted to thank “the Americans and leaders from all over the world who have shown their solidarity”. “I did not feel very well” said the President at the opening of his message, “now I am much better, I have to get back on track as soon as possible because we have work to do. We have done great things so far, but others need to be done to make America great again “.

Trump in the video claims that he had “no choice” but to risk exposing himself to the virus. The president explains that he could not isolate himself in the White House, not see and speak to anyone. “This is America, this is the United States, we are the largest and most powerful country in the world”, he continued, arguing that “a true leader must face problems”.
