Donald Trump will not provide financial assistance to Ukraine for the war against Russia if re-elected as President of the United States (US). This was conveyed by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban after meeting with Trump.
Orban emphasized Trump’s commitment not to pour a single penny into the Ukraine-Russia war. That way, the war between the two countries can end quickly.
“If America does not provide money, then Europe cannot afford this war itself, and the war will end,” said Orban, quoted by Reuters, Tuesday (12/3/3/2024).

He also added another alternative to end the war, namely peace negotiations after a ceasefire. Then a stable and safe situation in Europe will be created.
“Peace must exist first and he (Trump) has the means for that,” he explained.
Unlike other Western countries, Orban refuses to send weapons to Ukraine. He has repeatedly stated that Ukraine is incapable of winning against nuclear-armed Russia.
Meanwhile, recently Russian troops have had the upper hand in eastern Ukraine because Ukraine is experiencing a large shortage of ammunition. Ukraine relies heavily on weapons from the US, its main suppliers, and other Western allies to continue fighting Russia.
With Trump’s return, European Union leaders fear a significant reduction in US military and financial aid to Ukraine.
