Last month, Israel made two other historic peace agreements: with the United Arab Emirates and with Bahrain.
The agreements have been brokered and announced each time by US President Donald Trump, or more precisely by his adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner.
“The two countries have been at war for a long time. I don’t know if they were fighting. Maybe a little bit,” said an enthusiastic Trump. “Not only has an agreement been signed now. But there is also peace. That is nice”.
