Regensburg – SSV Jahn Regensburg celebrated a clear home win against Eintracht Braunschweig and took third place in the 2nd Bundesliga for at least one night.

The team of coach Mersad Selimbegovic, which was still unbeaten this season, easily won 3-0 (1-0). The goals for the vastly superior Jahn were scored by Albion Vrenezi with a double (5th / 79th) and Max Besuschkow (61st). In front of empty stands in the Jahnstadion, the home side benefited from the fact that Braunschweig had to play ten for more than one half after yellow-red against Nico Klaß (40th).

The form strong Oberpfälzer convinced with the usual aggressive pressing, against which the Lower Saxony coach Daniel Meyer found no means. After the first win of the season against VfL Bochum, Eintracht recently received a damper and remains in the second division relegation zone with only four points from five games.

With a precise flick, Vrenezi ensured the early lead. Braunschweig recovered after a good 20 minutes and had a huge chance to equalize through Yassin Ben Balla; the midfielder failed alone in front of the goal to goalkeeper Alexander Meyer. After Klaß had to leave for repeated foul play, the guests had no chance. Vrenezi became the match winner with a strong pass to Besuschkow and later his second goal.
