Trump Becomes Iran’s ‘Hurry’, New US-Iran Drama

Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – After months of receding, the war of nerves between Iran and the US resumed on Monday (6/29/2020).

The trigger was none other than the issuance of an arrest warrant from the Government of Iran of 36 people who were deemed responsible for the murder of General Qassem Soleimani, commander of elite forces in one of the units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in early January 2020.

Unmitigated, US President Donald Trump is the top name on the list.

“The 36 people involved in the killing of Qassem Soleimani have been identified and they include political and military officials from the US and other governments, and the judiciary has issued an order to get a red notice from international police,” the Mehr news agency reported as reported by Bloomberg on Monday. (6/29).

Red notice is a request from a country’s law enforcement authority to the law enforcement officers of other countries that are members of Interpol to track and arrest someone. This notification is issued to look for parties who have become suspects in certain cases.

Iran-US relations have never been calm, especially after Trump was elected US President.
