Truck drivers are protesting against a new vaccine passport requirement for driving into Canada. The United States has introduced the same requirements for drivers entering the United States.
Probably around 16,000 of Canada’s truck drivers – 15 percent – have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus.
Right-wing radical groups have joined the protest, and in a video that has been posted, a man says he hopes the protest will be Canada’s version of the storming of the Congress in Washington. Donald Trump junior has also given his support to the protest and the “fight against tyranny”.
