Truck driver robbed after help in an accident on the highway: ‘That people are capable of such a thing …’ | Inland

The man was robbed by the two victims of the accident after he invited both in his truck to recover from the shock. The duo managed to take the driver’s wallet from his bag and take it with them. The fair included his driver’s license and ID card.

Just over the border, the two thieves skidded their passenger car for unknown reasons and hit the guardrail twice. Their car eventually came to a stop in the middle of the carriageway.

The approaching truck driver from a Brabant company did not hesitate for a moment and stopped his truck on the roadway to prevent even more accidents from following traffic. The two occupants of the car were unharmed, after which the driver offered them a safe place in his cabin.

‘Cowards’

While the truck driver was busy making a statement of the traffic accident to the police, his guests saw the opportunity to steal his wallet. The management of the relevant Brabant company is shocked and shares their dissatisfaction with the incident on Facebook. “It is deeply sad that we offer hospitality to people who are capable of such a thing. I would say to these cowards; send the belongings of our driver to our company so that our driver has his belongings back. The bank card is of course blocked, so that is of no use to you. ”

Because the accident took place a few hundred meters across the border of the Netherlands and Germany, the company had to report this to the German police. A spokesman for the Dutch police could not confirm this for privacy reasons. The German police were not available for a response.
