TRIGOS NÖ: 12 Lower Austrian Companies Recognized for Corporate Responsibility

Exactly 20 years ago, the TRIGOS was first awarded to companies that show with special initiatives that they are aware of their corporate responsibility for the future. Also in this anniversary year, large and small companies were able to submit their projects to TRIGOS. Among the 132 Austria-wide submissions were 27 projects from Lower Austria. A jury nominated 12 companies in the following categories:

Exemplary projects:

• OBERGER Gesellschaft mbH – Bromberg (industrial district)
• Wilhelm Luger GmbH (Culumnatura) – Ernstbrunn (Weinviertel)
• Wind power Simonsfeld AG – Ernstbrunn (Weinviertel)

Regional value creation:

• Lechner Peter – Marbach an der Donau (Waldviertel)
• Sonnenladen GmbH – St. Pantaleon-Erla (Mostviertel)
• Styx Naturcosmetic GmbH, Ober-Grafendorf (Mostviertel)

Climate protection:

• Neuman Aluminum Austria GmbH – Lilienfeld (Mostviertel)
• SCHMID SCHRAUBEN HAINFELD GmbH – Hainfeld (Mostviertel)
• Welser Profile GmbH – Gresten (Mostviertel)

Employee initiatives:

• Lohmann & Rauscher GmbH – Schönau an der Triesting (industrial district)
• Markas GmbH – St. Pölten (Mostviertel)
• SONNENTOR herb trading company – Sprögnitz (Waldviertel)

The companies were selected by a 6-strong regional jury, consisting of representatives of the supporting organizations: Caritas, Federation of Austrian Industries, State of Lower Austria, respACT, Red Cross Lower Austria, Environmental Management Austria and Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce. The Lower Austrian specialist group for management consulting, accounting and information technology (UBIT NÖ) was also new this year.

Wolfgang Ecker, President of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce, emphasizes the role model effect of the selected companies: “With their creative ideas and successful projects, they also motivate other companies to deal more intensively with innovations on the subject of sustainability. The entire business location of Lower Austria benefits from this,” says Ecker.

The winners of the TRIGOS NÖ will be announced on September 18th at 5 p.m. in the Schallaburg (district of Melk). The application for the TRIGOS Lower Austria also applies to the TRIGOS Austria this year, so four companies have also been nominated for the federal TRIGOS.
