Paradise runs until October 24 and must bring life back to the city after the deadly corona lockdown. With well-known names such as Berlinde De Bruyckere, Jeremy Deller, Kendell Geers and Yoko Ono, it should be possible. And the work of pioneers in contemporary art, such as the designer duo Viktor & Rolf, scenographer Albert Dubosq and choreographer William Forsythe, reinforces this idea. It is certain that Paradise Kortrijk is helping to ensure that West Flanders will become the cultural hotspot of our country this summer. Because Trauma in Bruges (until 24 October) and Beaufort, the triennial of contemporary art by the sea (until 7 September) also run at approximately the same time. Art festival Watou (July 3 to September 5) is also on the program. In the coming summer, West Flanders will clearly be a paradise for contemporary art.
