“Today, ex-president Petro Poroshenko tried to make a completely artificial scandal and provoke a civil confrontation – instead of civilly and calmly completing the necessary procedures required by the law. His intention is beyond doubt: due to the politicization of the case, which is being investigated by the relevant authorities purely in legal plane, avoid any responsibility for their own actions, and even earn political dividends,” the statement said.
The Servant of the People called Poroshenko’s actions “a manifestation of the shameful habits of the old politics” and called on representatives of the European Solidarity party “not to participate in political performances.”
“It’s a shame, but another suspect in the “coal case”, Mr. [нардеп от “Оппозиционной платформы – За жизнь Виктор] Medvedchuk has shown more self-confidence and stamina than his longtime comrade Mr. Poroshenko,” they said.

“Poroshenko vehemently denies the allegations on the part of the authorities and considers them a classic example of fabricated, politically motivated cases and black PR against political opponents,” the European Solidarity party said.

During the meeting aex-president’s lawyer Igor Golovan said that the defense did not see a single document, which would confirm Poroshenko’s message of suspicion, so he does not have the status of a suspect.
