Trials – Mönchengladbach – Bergisch Gladbach abuse complex: First trial begins – Panorama

Mönchengladbach (dpa / lnw) – In the Bergisch Gladbach abuse complex, the first nationwide trial against two accused begins before the Mönchengladbach District Court. The 39-year-old men from Krefeld and Viersen are accused of sexual abuse of children in 79 cases. In some cases, they are said to have passed away together on the children, as the Mönchengladbach district court announced on Tuesday. Men are also accused of producing, distributing and owning child pornography.

One of the two, a father from Krefeld who lives separately from the child’s mother, is said to have regularly abused his daughter since 2016, sometimes severely. According to the indictment, he used the time when the child was visiting him in Krefeld. According to the indictment, the second defendant from Viersen is said to have had a predominantly difficult time with his little niece on a regular basis, sometimes in the presence of the little sibling. The parents had given the uncle the children regularly over several days. According to the court, the two abused girls were six to eleven years old at the time of the crime.

The defendants met in 2017 via an internet forum for pedophile users. According to the indictment, the two are said to have repeatedly arranged meetings from spring 2017, at which they sometimes also heavily abused the two girls together.

The abuse was part of the everyday life of the children. According to the indictment, the accused had specifically established a system geared towards rewards and habituation, including regular monetary and non-cash gifts. There are 19 negotiation days scheduled until September 8th.

The investigation into the Bergisch Gladbach abuse complex now extends to all federal states. In NRW alone, 23 suspects are being investigated, nine of whom are in custody, according to the police and public prosecutor.
