Tree felling begins today in Helfenberger Park in Dresden-Helfenberg. As the city announced, 20 trees will be felled in the listed park. Seven of these trees (elms, cherries and birches) died from the drought of the past summer. As they threaten to collapse, they are felled. The other 13 trees are wild. These press the existing old trees.
Six different trees are to be replanted in autumn this year in historically documented locations. These are linden, locust, false cypress and apple trees.
