A few weeks after the release of his album UtopiaTravis Scott surprised his fans by unveiling his film Circus Maximus free on Youtube. Screened in many American theaters, the experimental feature film is now available on the video sharing platform.
Presented as ” a surreal and psychedelic journey, bringing together a collective of visionaries from around the world in a kaleidoscopic exploration of human experience and the power of soundscapes”, Circus Maximus brings together big names in cinema behind the camera. We thus find the American Harmony Korine (Spring Breakers), the Danish Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive) as well as the Frenchman Gaspar Noé (Irreversible).
An aesthetic and conceptual object
experimental movie, Circus Maximus aims to recreate the artistic universe of Travis Scott on the big screen. Divided into two parts, the feature film also offers a reproduction of the show of the same name in Rome on August 7th. The concert event was originally to take place in front of the pyramids of Giza, before having to move for logistical problems.
