The first lawsuit filed Sunday is against Travis Scott, organizer of Live Nation and promoter Scoremore. The man behind the lawsuit says according to Billboard and a number of other media that he was injured during the concert.
The concert guest accuses all the defendants of having neglected security. The plaintiff believes that what happened was “predictable” and that it could have been prevented.
The man also believes that Scott and Live Nation made a conscious choice to continue the show despite the serious situation that arose along the way.
On Monday night, Norwegian time, another lawsuit was filed, this time also against Scott’s rap colleague Drake, who surprisingly appeared as a guest artist during Astroworld.
He also holds those mentioned responsible for what he describes as negligence. The lawsuit also mentions according to TMZ that Scott’s history of concert chaos should have been a warning light to everyone else involved.
Live Nation responds to this request from CNN, concerning the first action:
«We are devastated at the sight of the dead and others affected by what happened during Astroworld. We will continue to provide as much information as possible and assist the local authorities in mapping the situation..»
Scoremore has not responded to inquiries from US media.
Police have started a criminal investigation into the incident. Among other things, they are investigating information that a security guard and others have been stabbed with syringes and drugged.
