Travis Barker gets back on a plane 13 years after fatal accident | gossip

Four occupants did not survive the crash and only Travis and his good friend DJ AM managed to escape death. A year later, DJ AM died of a drug overdose, because the aftermath of the accident became too much for him. Travis then vowed never to fly again after spending months in hospital with third-degree burns.

entertainment">The drummer arrived an hour late for departure, probably because of his anxiety. Yet he managed to overcome it by eventually stepping in. His girlfriend Kourtney is said to have supported him in every way, which apparently worked.

No one would have blamed him if he’d never stepped on a plane again. Kourtney is very understanding and doesn’t force him to do anything, so this has really been his own decision. Travis’ friends are very happy for him that he has overcome this hurdle, it is another step towards liberation for him,” said a source.
