VLISSINGEN – A person was taken to hospital on Sunday after an alarm of a medical emergency at the asylum seekers center. The air ambulance also arrived at the scene.
The emergency situation arose around 6.20 pm on the site of the asylum seekers’ center on Oosterhavenweg in Vlissingen. According to residents of the AZC, someone has swallowed his tongue.
A police spokesperson said it was believed to be a medical emergency. The air ambulance landed on the site of the center to provide assistance. Finally, a doctor from the Mobile Medical Team (MMT) drove to the hospital in Goes. The helicopter then also flew to the ADRZ to pick up the MMT member again.
