Transport Online – Corona outbreak at café ‘De Kleine Beurs’ in Hillegom, visitors must stay at home

HILLEGOM – An outbreak of the coronavirus was discovered in Hillegom. Several people have become infected, possibly after visiting café De Kleine Beurs in the South Holland place. The regional GGD asks everyone who visited the café last Saturday, on 11 July, to stay at home and contact the GGD. That should prevent them from infecting other people.

People who have been in the café on another day between Wednesday 8 and Thursday 16 July are advised to pay close attention to their health. For the next two weeks, they should monitor whether they catch a cold, get a sore throat, cough, become short of breath, get a fever, or smell or taste nothing more. If that happens, they should stay in and contact the GGD. “You will stay at home and you will not be in contact with others until the test result is known,” is the appeal of the GGD.

If visitors are not yet sick in two weeks’ time, the usual guidelines that apply throughout the Netherlands will apply to them.

In Goes in Zeeland there is also a local outbreak, a so-called cluster, of the corona virus. Nursing homes there allow fewer visitors for the time being.
