Check back for our LIVE coverage of all the latest transfer news, offers, gossip and rumors with the January window now just days away from opening.

While Covid-19 has had a huge impact on club finances across the world, a lot of money has still been spent over the summer months and will undoubtedly change hands again at the dawn of 2021.

There will also be the possibility of landing some big players on pre-contract deals for the summer, with Lionel Messi unlikely to sign a new deal at Barcelona after his extraordinary fallout with the club.

Manchester City have a good chance of landing the Argentina legend with Pep Guardiola in charge, but a meeting with Neymar at PSG is also a distinct possibility.

It could be a one-in, one-out case at the Etihad if reports are to be believed, with The Mirror claiming Real Madrid want to sign Phil Foden this summer.

Elsewhere, Arsenal would very much like Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey, if Hector Bellerin leaves the club, while Italian press suggests Juventus have been given the chance to sign a loan from Mesut Ozil.

Liverpool assess Kabak move

Liverpool’s defensive injury problems worsened last night when Joel Matip was sent off in the 1-1 draw with West Brom.

The Cameroon international had been the Reds’ only senior center-half, with Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk out longer term, and Fabinho replacing as a makeshift solution.

Unsurprisingly, there is plenty of talk about a January transfer this morning, with Eurosport suggesting that Turkish defender Ozan Kabak could be available from Schalke for just £ 22million next month.

Messi on his future

Lionel Messi has said he will wait until the end of the season to decide his future, although he can talk to clubs about a transfer from Bosman in January.

“I have nothing clear until the end of the year,” he told La Sexta. “I will wait until the end of the season. I focus on getting titles and not on other things.

“I don’t know if I’m going to go or not, but if I go, I would like to leave in the best way. If I leave, I would like to return to live in the city and work at the club. Barcelona are much bigger than any player and I hope the president who comes will do things right.

“It’s been a love affair from a young age with the club and the city. No matter how it ends, it shouldn’t stain everything I’ve been through in my career. Everything is always overcome. ”

Moyes: I thought about signing Welbeck

West Ham will face Brighton later this afternoon and Hammers boss David Moyes has revealed he plans to try to sign the Seagulls this summer.

“I’m really happy for Danny because I enjoyed working with him at Manchester United, he’s a great and enthusiastic boy,” Moyes said.

“He had a few injuries and he was someone I looked up to and I was probably a little concerned about his injuries in the past more than anything else.

“I have to say I’m really happy for him because he’s a good boy, a good footballer who has worked hard on his game and is doing well for Brighton.”

Arsenal envisage Brandt

Athletic have said Arsenal could take a step for Germany international Julian Brandt next month.

The Gunners’ creative woes are well documented and they came up short with a move for Houssem Aouar from Lyon this summer.

However, the report claims interest in the Frenchman has cooled and attention may turn to Brandt, who has struggled to secure a regular starting spot at Borussia Dortmund.

Juve still interested in Pogba transfer in January

Juventus are still keen to bring Paul Pogba back to Turin next month, according to Eurosport.

The saga over the Frenchman’s future seems endless, with his agent Mino Raiola starting a rather public war of words with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over it in recent weeks.

As to whether we’ll get a resolution in January – the report claims Juve could only pay £ 50million, so you wouldn’t imagine.

Messi in Paris?

While Mauricio Pochettino is expected to return to management with his former club Paris Saint-Germain, the Parisian reports that the former Tottenham boss wants to bring Lionel Messi to Ligue 1.

The 33-year-old is expected to be the focus for the coming year and although a move in January is unthinkable, Messi is out of contract this summer and has admirers all over the world.

Manchester City remain heavily linked with a move, but Pochettino’s appointment could turn the Argentinian’s head.

Pochettino wants Dele’s reunion at PSG

(.)

Speaking of Tottenham, could Dele Alli get an exit in January from north London?

The England midfielder has been reduced to a small role in recent months and his role in Stoke’s goal in the 3-1 Carabao Cup quarter-final win at the bet365 stadium in midweek caused a angry reaction from manager Jose Mourinho.

The Sun are now reporting that Dele will be former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino’s first PSG transfer target over the New Year, with the Argentinian reportedly in advanced talks to succeed Thomas Tuchel at Parc des Princes.
