More than two years of work and finally a move like no other. On Tuesday, Albert’s hospital will transfer all patients, about thirty in all in a brand new facilitylocated just behind the old 1930’s buildings.

Stretchers, wheelchairs and ambulances will follow one another throughout the morning. “There are some rooms that already have the furniture that is present in the new headquarters, other equipment will be brought directly with the patient and his bed that we will make ourselves”, explains the doctor. No more crumbling reception conditions
A few tens of meters to go but a radical change for patients and healthcare teams. “The staff were eager to move because it’s true that they all worked in complicated conditions, dilapidated rooms,” he explains Aline Dansette, Deputy Plant Manager.

Nothing to do with the new buildings ready to welcome patients in the twenty hospital beds and the thirty polyvalent follow-up treatments. “Currently, there are no toilets in the rooms on the ground floor, so they will be happy to have a toilet in the new location,” he says. A big upheaval
“It is a great upheaval, both for us and for the patients,” continues Arnaud Fontaine. “They’ll find out a modern hospital and that will allow for a frankly better picture.”
Albert’s new hospital has what it takes to “attract new patients,” according to Aline Dansette. Especially since the establishment will also be able to count a new tool with the medical imaging scanner from MAOI. It will be installed in the first half of 2023 and should allow residents of the area to avoid traveling to Péronne or Amiens.
