In April 2013, Attorney Nam Wook told accountant Jung Young-hak that former general manager Yoo Dong-kyu said, “I can persuade the mayor by pushing myself moderately.”
It seems that Yoo, who received the money, reassured the gang.
Three months later, former general manager Yu said, “When I said that it was 10 billion won, but I had enough insurance to spend, my mouth caught my ears.
Mentions such as Lee Jae-myung or the mayor appear 21 times in more than 1,300 pages of transcript.
It seems clear that the situation was frequently reported about the Daejang-dong project by Jeon Yoo, head of the headquarters.
However, it does not seem that the mayor tried to select them as Daejangdong operators from the beginning.
Around this time, when Attorney Nam asked former head Yoo, “Why does the mayor really hate you so much?”, he replied, “I hate you guys so much.” There is also a part that reminds me of the high school.
In the transcript, CEO Lee Jae-myung was not mentioned in the conversation about profits or money.
In 2013, Attorney Nam Wook said that after receiving the money, General Manager Yoo Dong-gyu said, “We shouldn’t even know the second floor, let’s just take the two of us for the rest of our lives.”
The mayor’s office was located on the second floor of Seongnam City Hall.
Mr. Kim Man-bae the year before last said, “Yoo Dong-gyu himself said he would take 60 billion won, so he said he would give 70 billion won.”
Former deputy director Kim Yong and chief Jeong Jin-sang also appeared two or three times, including the part where they made a brother-in-law with the gang, but it was not about money.
Around 2012 and 2013 when the business was won, and between 2019 and 2021 when the profits were shared.
The ‘42.8 billion contract theory’ involving Lee Jae-myeong’s closest aides is not clearly confirmed with only the transcripts, which are largely composed of two chunks.
Prosecutors have repeatedly stated that “there are sufficient other statements and evidence as well as the transcript.”
