Within the framework of the directives of the political leadership, and the state’s efforts to care for the public health of citizens, and in implementation of the instructions of Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, and under the supervision of Dr. Hisham Shawqi Masoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the Eastern Province, the Ministry of Health and Population, in coordination with the Directorate of Health Affairs, trained 358 nurses in the health departments in Sharkia Governorate. In the agricultural school theater in Zagazig, in preparation for implementing the presidential initiative for maternal and fetal health, which will be launched in the governorate within days.
Dr. Hisham Masoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Sharqia, explained that the new presidential initiative comes within a series of presidential initiatives that are being implemented in the governorate to take care of the health of citizens, eliminate virus C, treat and follow up on chronic diseases, early detection of nephropathy, eliminate waiting lists for surgeries, and detect weakness Hearing loss for newborns, support for women’s health, and to complement this support the health of the mother and the fetus, indicating that presidential initiatives to support women’s health, early detection of breast cancer, detection of hearing impairment and loss of newborns, and the Maternal and Fetal Health Initiative, will include all provision Medical services simultaneously, to save time and effort, and to facilitate the recipients and service providers.
He added that the Maternal and Fetal Health Initiative aims to prevent the transmission of many diseases from mother to fetus during pregnancy, and nurses were trained for three days to work within the presidential initiative, how to take samples, and provide health services within the medical protocol of the new initiative.
In a related context and in implementation of the presidential initiative to eliminate waiting lists, the Undersecretary of the Ministry stressed the director of Faqous Model Hospital by increasing the working days for surgical operations, increasing the number of patients on the waiting lists, and completing them within 72 hours, and assigning the Director General of Therapeutic Medicine to follow up and present a report at the end of the week
