Sometimes the murder of a leader is shocking and profound for a country. Because of that, the leaders were guarded with tight security.
Even so, death can still find them. Here is a list of leaders who died at the hands of their own people:
1. John F Kennedy
John F. Kennedy was the 35th president of the United States (1961–63), who faced a number of foreign crises, most notably in Cuba and Berlin. Despite this, he managed to secure achievements such as the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Tests and the Alliance for Progress. He was killed while driving a motorcade in Dallas.
He is the youngest person and the first Roman Catholic ever to be elected president of the United States. His reign lasted only 1,037 days.
From the start he was concerned with foreign affairs. In his memorable inaugural address, he called on Americans, “to bear the brunt of the long twilight struggle… against humanity’s common enemies: tyranny, poverty, disease, and war itself.”
Lee Harvey Oswald is a suspect in the assassination of President John F Kennedy. For the record, at 12:30 pm on November 22, 1963, from a window on the sixth floor of the storage building, Oswald, using a mail-order rifle, allegedly fired three shots that killed President Kennedy and injured Texas Governor John B Connally in an open motorcade. at Dealley Plaza.
