Tragic Loss: Remembering Aleksandra Witek and Seeking Support for Funeral Expenses

Relatives of Aleksandra “Ola” Witek, remembered the victim as a devoted mother and her sons Lucian and Calvin as two happy children, while seeking support to meet funeral expenses.

His mother Grazyna, brother Lukas and sister-in-law Emma posted an emotional letter on a fundraising site.

‘Ola’ was remembered as a former New York City teacher and a devoted mother.

“Ola was an incredibly loving and devoted housewife to her two young children,” they note in the letter.

“As a New York City schoolteacher, she instilled her knowledge and teachings into her growing children, who had blossoming imaginations and whose curiosity and sweetness toward family and friends captured the hearts of all.”

The minors Lucian and Calvin were remembered as loving children.

“Her children loved playing with their toys, reading stories with mom and they were two lovely babies to everyone who loved them.”

The New York City Coroner’s Office reported that all three died from a deep stab wound to the neck.

The author of the triple homicide would be the husband and father of the family, Edison López, 41, who also took his own life.
