Tragic Discovery: Four Children Found Dead in South Jakarta

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – A resident named Irwan said that four children were found dead in a rented room in the Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (6/12/2023).

The four bodies were found after residents smelled an unpleasant odor around the crime scene (TKP).

“It was found in one of the rooms, according to the information,” he told reporters at the location.

Residents then took the initiative to check around the crime scene because the smell was getting stronger.

“The smell of carcasses was so strong that we dismantled the ceiling around the crime scene, but we couldn’t find it. Then this morning my neighbor called me, he said, ‘Mr. Irwan, please, there is a smell of dead bodies around Mr. P’s house (the house of the alleged perpetrator). It doesn’t smell good‘,” he said

Not long after that, police officers were suddenly in front of the crime scene.

“The next thing you know, the police are there. “I don’t know when their four children died,” he added.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Bintoro, said that the four children who were found dead in their rented room were suspected to have been killed by their own parents.

“Still under investigation. What is clear is that this parent, who is suspected of being the perpetrator, wanted to commit suicide too. But still safe,” he said.

Police are still investigating the cause of death of the four children.

“The suspected death is still under investigation. “We’re still checking everything first,” he added.
