“Unfortunately, it is always the nicest people that they take from us first.” The cheerful Yves Redant (44) died on Thursday from his injuries after he was deliberately hit in Wetteren on Monday. The perpetrator, a 38-year-old man from Bornem, was arrested and is in jail. The East Flanders public prosecutor’s office is investigating the facts. “What we heard came as a bolt from the blue.”
