Tragic accident in New York City: childminder rescues boy (1) from truck

Celi Muschamp, 52, was a childminder in New York City. While she was out with one-year-old Rowan, a truck drove towards them. At the last moment she was able to push the stroller and the boy to safety. However, she herself was caught by the truck, reports the British tabloid Daily Mail.

The accident happened on December 20th. After eleven days in a coma, the childminder died in the hospital. So far it has not been possible to clarify how the accident came about. The police are investigating.
