A family outing to a ravine in Villeta-Cundinamarca ended in tragedy. A family experienced moments of terror when they saw how the turbulent waters took their relatives.
In a sector known as ‘El salto de los micos’ in the Cune ravine, near the municipality of Villeta, there were 5 members of a family bathing in the water, but a sudden flood swept away two of them, a man and a woman, and produced death.

In a sector known as ‘El salto de los micos’ in the Cune ravine, near the municipality of Villeta, there were 5 members of a family bathing in the water, but a sudden flood swept away two of them, a man and a woman, and produced death.
The other three people, who were also dragged away, had better luck than their relatives because they were able to be rescued by relief agencies and firefighters from the municipality known for its panela activity and also as a tourist resort.
The surviving people are 3 women, one of them a minor and the daughter of one of the deceased, while the man who lost his life was his uncle.
