A 75-year-old electric bike driver died in a collision with a car on Saturday in Humlikon ZH. Before the accident, the driver was behind the two-wheeler. According to the police, it is unclear why there was a collision afterwards.
The cyclist was traveling towards Andelfingen at around 9.20 a.m., as the Zurich cantonal police announced. At a junction there was a collision with the car of a 33-year-old driver.
The man died on the scene of the accident despite immediate rescue measures. The automobile operator was not injured. Because of the accident, the corresponding section of the road was closed for around three hours.
