BEKASI – Stock cooking oil low prices are still limited in the market. One of the traders also admitted that in a day the sales distributor only allows traders to buy five cartons.
“It’s hard to get cheap cooking oil. The stock is limited. The agent only gave me five cartons. Even though I need 10 cartons a day,” said Pia when met by MNC Portal Indonesia at the location, Sunday (13/2/2022).
Pia explained that there was a lot of cooking oil for sale, she couldn’t help but buy goods at agents even though the prices were more expensive than direct distributors. This is what causes the price of cooking oil to be uneven.

“I don’t sell it at the same price. If I get it from a distributor, then I sell it to the consumer cheaply. If I buy it at an agent, I sell it a little bit more expensively,” he said.
Pia continued explaining, for the price of cooking oil that he bought at the distributor, he sold it for IDR 28,000 for the 2 liter size. Meanwhile, the cooking oil he bought at the agent was sold for Rp. 31,000.

“Because my agent got the price for IDR 29,000 per liter. That’s why I sold it for IDR 31,000,” he explained.
Then Pia said that if she bought cooking oil at a distributor, she would only earn Rp. 1,000 compared to buying cooking oil at an agent at a price above the government’s stipulation.
