On the sidelines of UFC 260 and Francis Ngannou’s spectacular victory, Dana White confirmed that their third matchup could headlining UFC 264 on July 10 in Las Vegas. “I hope so, this is our plan, we all hope so”, smiled the UFC boss at a press conference.
On January 24 in Abu Dhabi, Poirier took his revenge on McGregor with an impressive knockout in the second round, the first suffered by “The Notorious” in his MMA career. The fight turned out to be very lucrative for the UFC with 1.6 million “pay-per-views” sold, the third highest total in history.
A third battle without a belt in play
