“Tour operator Corendon swaps Schiphol for Brussels” | Travel

At Zaventem Airport, Corendon will nearly double its capacity to 260,000 seats next season. The holiday giant is reducing Schiphol’s capacity to 230,000 seats.

Corendon CEO Atilay Uslu fears that the company will also have to reduce capacity at Schiphol this year due to staff shortages at the Dutch airport. “We can offer people a certain holiday in Brussels,” he says.

Also, flying from Belgium is cheaper, because fares at Schiphol have increased and the Dutch flight tax has tripled.
