She’s 98 years old, and she’s an Instagram star. Dorothy Wiggins has a wicked sense of humor and incomparable New York wit. Devastated by the death of her husband 3 years ago (after 61 years of marriage), Dorothy Wiggins started an Instagram account @dorothylovesnwyork opened by his son because he thought it would make me forget my sorrow » she explained in the New York Times. Irresistible.
In a more serious style, the self-proclaimed photographer “ people’s paparazzi » Johnny Cirillo documents the city’s most stylish looks on his account @watchingnewyorket @humansofny remains an essential reference: the account created by Brandon Stanton, author of the eponymous best-selling book, continues to offer lovely portraits and interviews with New Yorkers.

It is estimated that there are more than 26,000 restaurants in New York. At the rate of one lunch and one dinner per day, it would take more than 36 years to try them all! Fortunately, many Instagram accounts are there to help us choose. Among our favorites:
