Is Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 as good as the original?
Of course everyone does one thing with a remake, comparing it to the original. And in the case of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2, that makes sense. For example, the original is on Metacritic with a meta score of 92 and a user score of 8.8. And the second part currently has a meta score of 98 and a user score of 7.4. Not exactly empty shoes to fill.
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 is going to remove a bad taste
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 was released in 2015, and let’s just say it wasn’t as well received as its predecessors. So has Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 a meta score of 32 and a user score of a smashing 1.5. Of course, scores aren’t everything. But compared to its predecessors, you could say it was time for Pro Skater to take a break. 5 years later the remake of Pro Skater 1 + 2 off, and hopefully this remake manages to regain the shine of the original games.
