Last was clearly that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart would be around 42.2GB in terms of download. An acceptable amount, but it now turns out to be lower in the end. PlayStation Game Size, which fetches the information directly from Sony’s servers, reports that the total download is only 33.6GB.
This makes the download 9GB smaller than previously reported. Bringing in the game is therefore a lot faster, although it remains to be seen how much space the game actually takes up on the PlayStation 5. After all, it is quite possible that the total size of the game is somewhat larger than 33.6GB after installing the title.
The fact that it is lower may have to do with the compression technology of the PlayStation 5. In any case, it looks like Insomniac handles the data very efficiently. However, the game can get a bit bigger after the release, this on the basis of updates for the platformer of course.
