The tournament will start on the weekend of July 16. And when will it end? It was stipulated that it will end on Sunday, December 12. It happens that, between 7/16 and 12/12, there are 22 weekends available, so it will be necessary to schedule three weekdays. To that, we must add the STEP and the legislative elections, so it will be necessary to release another two weekends and play two more days between Tuesday and Wednesday. And all this contemplating that the championship is not suspended on the FIFA dates (there will be three Knockout games in September, three games in October and two in November).

And who will qualify for the 2022 Cups?

Of this tournament, only the champion will go to Libertadores 2022. Argentina has six places. Another two will be for Colón and for the winner of the Argentine Cup. The rest will be obtained by the first three teams in the annual general table, which will consider the points obtained in the group stage of the LPF Cup (13 matches) and the next tournament (total: 38 matches). In this case, the third team will access the Repechage of the Cup.

Meanwhile, another six teams will go to the South American 2022: one is Banfield (winner of the Diego Maradona Cup final, against Vélez) and the other five will come out of the same general table. If a team already classified by another instance is repeated, the place will be for another team from this same table.

It will be played on Friday, December 17. Who will play it? It is not resolved because Boca has two pending finals for the 19/20 Super League and the Maradona Cup. Colón, the last champion of the Professional League Cup, has a guaranteed place. It must be regulated if he will face the winner of the contest to be played this semester.
