Laredo, Texas. – The City of Health Department Laredo, Texas confirmed that he has received an additional 5,000 doses of the vaccine against Covid-19 for the eighth week of administration, which will be from January 31 to February 6, 2021, and thus you can advance to phase 3 of the administration plan with the additions of the doses.

This phase will focus on expanding the locations where the public can receive the vaccine.

In partnership with school districts, the City of Laredo will offer 25 vaccine administration locations throughout the Township and Webb County. These locations will be chosen to administer five thousand inoculations of the first dose in a single day.

The operations plan involves the following details:

Single day operation

25 vaccine administration locations (180 doses per site)

4-hour operation from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (45 vaccines administered per hour)

Vaccines will be collected at the Health Department on the day of administration from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Vaccines will be delivered in a cooler with foam or dry ice, an ice pack, and a checklist to ensure proper storage

Additional necessary supplements will be included

Soon, the Department of Health will publish the 25 locations that will administer the vaccines.

The City will continue to focus and prioritize those who are Category 1A and 1B for vaccine administration.

The Emergency Operations Center continues to coordinate personnel to take calls from those who do not have access to the internet or do not know how to use the system to schedule appointments.

On January 26, 2021, elected officials and city and county leaders met with the Notary Public of the State Department of Health Services at Texas to request 10,000 additional doses per week.

The doses will be used for inoculations of the first dose.

City leaders will continue to request more vaccines for the community.
