According to Ikala, other new restrictions do not affect the store network with the introduction of the emergency situation.

With the entry into force of the new rules, which will further reduce the number of people allowed in stores, information will be placed next to each Maxim store on how many people can be on the store’s premises, taking into account its area. The store employees will follow the number of people as much as possible, promised Liene Dupate-Ugule, communication manager of “Maxima Latvija”. “Maxima Latvija is ready to actively adapt to introduce new initiatives, thus reducing the spread of the virus. The Ministry of Economics was informed that in order to reduce the crowding in sales outlets, the maximum number of people in sales premises will be reduced, stipulating that at least ten square meters of publicly available premises should be provided per visitor in the sales outlets.
