There is a 7 million euro offer for the renewal of Rafael Leao with Milan. A proposal that had already been proposed a week ago and that it is now reality. It’s a bridge offer for two reasons: Leao needs money to settle the Sporting issue – or at least shorten it – and Milan can thus protect themselves and not lose contractual strength towards those who ask for the Portuguese next June.
Leao is convinced to accept
It has always been an economic issue, not a technical one. Because Leao wants to stay in Milan, he’s fine, he wants to finish the season in the best possible way and then possibly talk about the future. On the other hand, Jorge Mendes, father’s consultant but no longer the footballer’s agent, also wants to write a happy ending to this matter, and then turn his attention to him for the transfer in June. Within the agreement, however, there is no financial aid for the case with Sporting: this will probably be included in the signing with the next club, in case of farewell.
Dimvula asks for commissions
In this scenario there is also the real agent of Rafael Leao, Ted Dimvula, a French lawyer who has held the power of attorney since last June. Relations with Mendes continue to be tense and for this reason there is still no projection for the signing. The truth is that Dimvula will also ask for commissions for the renewal, so Milan will have to pay them double to finally see Leao with an agreement beyond June 2024. A question that will almost certainly be resolved in the coming days, albeit at a high price.
