Tlc, renewed the national contract: 100 euro increase and solidarity fund

Renewal of the national collective agreement for telecommunications has been signed. The agreement between Asstel and trade unions involves around 120,000 male and female workers and regulates the activity of a strategic sector for the development of the country and for the management of digitization processes.

The agreement concerned both the regulatory part, which sees a decisive strengthening of the protection of workers and people’s rights, and the economic part, which with an average increase of 100 euros ensures an adequate level of redistribution of the sector’s productivity.

The creation of a is also established Bilateral sector solidarity fund through which it will be possible to manage the requalification and modernization processes of skills, accompanying and integrating the new active labor policy tools ensuring the greatest possible employability.

“The National Collective Labor Agreement is still betting on the uniqueness of the supply chain and on the overall strength of a composite sector that sees, especially in call center and network contracts – reads a note from Slc, Fistel and Uilcom – the elements of greater complexity that must always be brought more to a level of industrialization that allows to protect people and work ”.

The Tlc sector is now a “frontier” sector in which all the organizational changes linked to the digitization processes are being concentrated, moreover exasperated by the current pandemic crisis.

“With this Ccnl the parties have tried to provide a tool that knows how to regulate i work remotization processes, as well as a regulatory adaptation to protect female workers in terms of welfare – explain the trade unions – Processes that will increasingly change the relationship between people, places and working times. These changes can truly be an opportunity for everyone if properly governed and shared. The dramatic phase that the country is going through has not prevented the parties from finding the courage to provide the sector with a modern tool for managing processes ”.

Now the word passes to male and female workers: in the coming weeks, extensive consultations will be organized both in person and remotely in order to gather their opinions and, above all, record their vote.

Per Fabrizio Solari, general secretary of the Slc, this is “a good and very innovative contract which includes 26 new professional profiles. A contract with its feet in today and with an eye to tomorrow. The challenge of innovation is accepted, rights are consolidated and a message of will to reform and relaunch the country is launched ”.

“In this particular moment of health emergency, the national secretariats of the sector – he says Vito Vitale, general secretary of Fistel – through remote methods, together with the negotiating delegation, they have achieved a positive result on the economic and regulatory side that goes beyond the estimated inflation for the reference period and enhances the rights and protections of workers. The part of welfare, rights, safeguards against gender violence and health protection is important ”.

Except Ugliarolo, general secretary of Uilcom expresses satisfaction for “the result achieved after a long and tiring negotiation”.

“The signing, which came in a moment of not only health but also economic and social emergency, – underlines the trade unionist – is an important signal both for the thousands of workers it involves but also for the whole country system, given that Tlc are a crucial sector for the restart of the country. The establishment of the solidarity fund, new rules for the delicate world of the contact center as well as the attention shown towards the workers most in difficulty – I am thinking of those who have children with pathologies or disabilities, of women victims of violence – make this agreement an important step for the relaunch of industrial relations in the era of digital transformation “.
