Brazil coach summoned the Sporting midfielder, but the lions did not authorize the player to travel
Matheus Nunes was called up by Tite for the Brazil national team but did not travel to South America to participate in the triple qualifying round – matches against Chile, Argentina and Peru – for the Mundial’2022, since Sporting didn’t release him due to health issues.

He said he was very proud to come to the Brazilian team.
