HK Nitra hockey players triumphed in Wednesday’s fourth final match of the Kaufland playoff Tipos extra league on the home ice over Slovan Bratislava 4: 1 and equalized the state of the series at 2: 2. The fifth duel is scheduled for Friday at 6.30 pm in Bratislava. Forward Tomáš Hrnka, the author of two goals, played the most significant role in the victory of the “Corgoňs”.

The home team played a power play in the second minute and after Holešinský’s cross pass, he sent them into the lead of Hrnek through the goal area. The game was then leveled, with a chance until the 9th minute. Nitra played the second power play in the match and Windsor had to deal with dangerous shots by Raskob and Tvrdoň. The guests then played in large numbers, and their huge chance was thwarted by O’Connor, who liquidated Rapuzzi’s shot close up. The end of the third belonged to Nitra, when Krivošík and Bajtek did not change the big chances in the power play, before them Baláž could score after Windsor’s mistake.

In the second period, Slovan had the first big chance, but O’Connor performed an excellent intervention. Then again, it was played mostly between the blue lines until the 26th minute came.
