In June 2017, Timma signed a two-year agreement with the Khimki unit of the Moscow region. Later, a member of the national team Dairis Bertāns also came to the aid of the Latvian.

In a conversation with the portal Timma revealed that he has been spending summers in the US city of Miami for five years now, where he is honing his skills under the guidance of a coach. The number of Covid-19 cases in the city of Florida has risen sharply in recent weeks. It is also felt on the streets, in shops and cafes.

“In the city of Miami, everyone strictly adheres to the established restrictions. It is impossible not to meet someone with a face mask on the street,” Timma describes the situation in his sunny city in the USA. “Hotels and apartments are regularly disinfected with antiseptics.”

“There are also cafes where coffee will not be sold to you if you do not put on a mask. But I do not come here to relax. I train every day because I want to get better. I train every day from six in the morning to 12.”

The athlete also outlined his training schedule. “On Monday, Wednesday and Friday I do individual training, but on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday – I train litters and work on the beach.”

Tim was also asked a rather provocative question. Namely, the athlete shared his thoughts on where he feels better – in Russia or Latvia.

“Latvia will always be my homeland and will remain in my heart, but I also have very warm feelings for Russia. My home is where my team and family are,” said Timma, who was convinced that his team in the Khimki region of Moscow. next season will be the champion.

“I believe in my team. It’s funny if you go on the pitch with the thought of losing. I’m ready to win every game.”

The basketball player also indicated that in case he received an offer from the National Basketball Association (NBA), his new life partner Anna would also come with him.

Speaking about the future, Timma emphasized that even ten years later he sees himself in basketball. He was not afraid to say that after the end of the player’s career he would gladly hold another position in basketball circles.

This season, Timma participated in 21 games in ULEB Euroleague, averaging 12.5 points per match. Only Alexei Swede scored more than Tim on average in the Khimki team – 21.4 points.

Meanwhile, in the VTB United League, Timma scored an average of 12.3 points in 12 matches this season.

From 2015 to 2017, the basketball player represented the “Zenit” team in St. Petersburg, but then played for one season at the Spanish club “Kirolbet Baskonia” in Vitoria.

During his career, Timma has also represented the teams of “ASK Rīga”, ASK / “Juniors”, “Liepājas lauvas”, “Ventspils”, “VEF Rīga”.

In 2013, the Memphis “Grizzlies” were selected as the basketball player in the NBA draft with the total number 60. Currently, the right to a Latvian in this league belongs to the Orlando “Magic” club.
