Today, Thursday, the DFL German Football League scheduled the Bundesliga matches from the 14th to the 21st matchday and the games of the 2nd Bundesliga from the 16th to the 21st matchday of the 2021/22 season. Among other things, the “classic” between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich, which will take place on the 14th matchday on Saturday (December 4th, 6:30 pm), was scheduled.
As in previous years, the opening game of the last Bundesliga matchday before the winter break will also be shown on free TV: The duel between the Champions League participants FC Bayern Munich and VfL Wolfsburg on matchday 17 (Friday, September 17). December, 8:30 p.m.) show SAT.1 and DAZN. The same applies to the second round opening game between FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Mönchengladbach on matchday 18 (Friday, January 7, 8:30 p.m.).
On the 19th matchday, the current table runner-up Dortmund and the current third Sport-Club Freiburg will meet (Friday, January 14th, 8:30 p.m.) – one day later, the Rhenish rivals Mönchengladbach and Bayer 04 Leverkusen will contest the 6:30 p.m. Game.
On the 21st matchday there will be matches between FC Bayern and RB Leipzig (Saturday, February 5, 6:30 p.m.) and between BVB and Leverkusen (Sunday, February 6, 3:30 p.m.)
In the 2nd Bundesliga, among other things, the kick-off time of the game between the current league leaders FC St. Pauli and currently third-placed FC Schalke 04 is fixed on the 16th matchday (Saturday, December 4th, 8:30 p.m.). On the 18th matchday, Hamburger SV and Schalke will meet (Saturday, December 18, 8:30 p.m.), after the winter break, the 2nd Bundesliga will start playing on the 19th matchday, including the match between SV Werder Bremen and Fortuna Düsseldorf (Saturday, January 15, 1:30 p.m.).
The live broadcast of the Bundesliga games takes place on Fridays and Sundays on DAZN, on Saturdays and in “English Weeks” on Sky. All matches in the 2nd Bundesliga are broadcast live on Sky, and the games on Saturday evening can also be seen live on free TV on SPORT1. SAT.1 also shows the season opening games of both leagues live on free TV – as well as the Friday evening games of the Bundesliga on the match days immediately before and after the winter break.
The next exact dates for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 are expected to take place in the 50th calendar week between December 13 and 17, after the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League has been concluded.
