There are two brand absent in Disney’s Spurs camp: LaMarcus Aldridge and Tim Duncan.
The first one forfeited in early June to treat a shoulder injury. As for the second, we are learning today through News 4 San Antonio that he was commissioned by the franchise to take care of the recovery of Aldridge precisely, with other members of the staff.
After resuming training on July 2, “LA” is therefore entitled to Tim Duncan as a personal coach and one could almost believe that the plan is to make him come back to play at the end of the season. Especially since the length of convalescence is between three and six months for the kind of operation that he underwent, and that he could be ready at best at the end of July since he was operated on April 24.
Except that the Spurs have taken Tyler Zeller as a replacement in the “bubble”, and the Spurs had announced that the objective of the summer was to get Aldridge ready for the next “training camp”. As their chances of reaching the playoffs are slim, it is not certain that “Timmy” will join Pop in the bubble before the recovery.
