TRIBUNJOGJA.COM, MAGELANG – There is an extension PPKM Level 4, Task Force Covid-19 of Magelang Regency urge the public to tighten prokes one of which uses double mask (2 lapis).
Handling Spokesperson Covid-19 Magelang Regency Nanda Cahyadi Pribadi said that the recommended use of layered masks is to use a medical mask with a cloth mask.
“We ask the public to be able to use layered masks when doing outdoor activities. Moreover, in Magelang Regency there was a new corona variant or delta,” he explained, Friday (23/07/2021).
He added, the delta variant can spread the virus faster than Covid-19 generally.
Thus, the most basic antisposition can be done by using a layered mask.
“Earlier, the delta variant had indeed been found entering the region Magelang Regency. With that sign, society must tighten up prokes more,” he explained.
According to him, so far, people’s compliance with using masks in public places is already high.

However, there are still many who have not used layered masks after the discovery of the delta variant.
“If public awareness to prokes like wearing a mask is fine. However, most of them still wear single-layer masks, such as cloth or medical masks. So, we strongly urge the public to use it double mask, to reduce the transmission rate. Hope, target PPKM Level 4 can be achieved,” he explained. (ndg)
